Many of the foods, medicines and drinks from the Caribbean, Southeast Asia and other parts of the world incorporate lemongrass. This lemon-scented tall grass grows abundantly in many tropical regions of the world and makes a wonderful drink by boiling it, steeping like a tea and/or infusing its fragrant and semi-spicy leaves in alcohol. Our organic lemongrass is cultivated in Guatemala by a socially active cooperative that supports those orphaned and displaced by the years of political violence in rural Guatemala.
