These easy-to-make tarts, served at Anaba Tea Room, get their subtle flavor from powdered Matcha Tea.

Ginger Matcha Tarts
Makes 4 minature tarts

1 tablespoon brewed Matcha Tea
1 teaspoon freshly grated giner
1 cup powdered sugar
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
4 small (3-inch) ready-to-fill pastry shells (see note)
Grated zest of 1 lemon

In medium bowl with electric mixer, combine tea, ginger, powdered sugar and cream cheese and mix until smooth.  Spoon into pastry shells and garnish with lemon zest.  Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Note:  You can make your own shells or they can be purchased at most grocery stores.
